What Clean Slate Healthy Living is All About
I believe having a healthy lifestyle doesn’t have to be difficult, time-consuming, or restrictive. At Clean Slate Healthy Living, I want to make having a healthy lifestyle easier for busy moms by teaching them how to build healthy habits, manage their time and stress, and simplify all areas of their life.
Stress is often an overlooked cause of health issues. I’ve found that so many moms struggle with feeling overwhelmed by the endless list of things to do which is why my passion is to help my readers with time management and simplifying a healthy lifestyle, so they can take control of their stress and their health and have more time for their family and their own passions.
My Story
As a full-time teacher, mom, and wife, I was incredibly busy and always in a hurry! On top of that, I developed several autoimmune diseases and chronic illnesses that zapped my energy and added to the overwhelm. I was so tired of feeling sick and tired all the time, and I felt like I was failing as a mom, wife, and teacher.
At the time, none of the doctors had answers for how to help me regain my health, other than prescribing me medicine to mask the symptoms.
I decided to become my own doctor and started researching, watching health summits, reading books, and listening to podcasts.
I learned how simple lifestyle changes could dramatically improve health. Because I was desperate to feel better, I was 100% committed to implementing these lifestyle changes. The results were astounding. I was able to stop taking all medications. My autoimmune diseases went into remission. The Missing Piece
As I was trying to put together the pieces to regain my health, it became evident that I was missing a big piece of the puzzle. I was amazed by my progress but wanted to do even more to regain full health. When one of my doctors told me to focus on self-care and managing stress I wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. I barely had enough time to properly take care of my family let alone making time for myself! And to be honest, I didn’t even think I was that stressed.
This brought me to begin researching time management and organization tips to help me simplify my life, so I had more time to focus on what really mattered. Again, I started implementing everything I was learning and within a few months, my health continued to improve. I not only had more time to spend with my family, but I had time each day for myself as well. I even had enough time to begin blogging!
Who Would’ve Thought that Time Management is Important to Health?!?
It was hard to believe that the missing piece of the puzzle was something like time management! Health and time management didn’t even seem to be related.
Although I had made several diet and lifestyle changes to improve my health, stress was keeping me from fully regaining my health. And for me, time management was the key to managing my stress. This made all the difference! I couldn’t believe that time management was so pivotal to a healthy lifestyle.

I noticed that friends, family, and coworkers were struggling with the same issues I was. As I started helping them and answered their questions, one of them encouraged me to start a blog to share this information with other busy moms like myself.
I created this blog to share all the information I have learned on my journey to heal my body and manage my time.
I know first-hand how overwhelming it is to navigate all the information about how to get organized and build a healthy lifestyle. I’m still in the midst of learning all of it… there’s so much to learn!
My goal is for this blog to be a service to you to consolidate all the information into manageable action steps that make healthy living simple and easy. I am so excited to help you on your journey to a simpler, healthier life.

It took me over 5 years to realize that having a healthy lifestyle involved more than just changing my diet and taking supplements. And some of the changes I had made were overwhelming and expensive to maintain.
